Virtual, on Zoom

This 3-hour workshop is for Boards, Directors, Officers, Executive Directors, and volunteers of non-profit organizations. It introduces participants to the process and key questions that must be answered by a nonprofit considering applying for charitable status. Through interactive presentations, group discussions, and case studies, participants will come away with a better understanding of:

  • The difference between not-for-profits and charities
  • Motivations and reasons your nonprofit may, or may not, want to apply
  • What you need to know about the registration and approval process
  • The information and documentation necessary for an application
  • How to approach application questions and avoid common mistakes
