SaferPlaces NB is a program created by the Public Legal Education and Information Service of NB that provides workplaces with information about New Brunswick laws regulating harassment, reporting procedures and legal rights available to victims of workplace sexual harassment.

In this 2.5 hour workshop for employees, participants will: 

  • Build understanding of what workplace sexual harassment (“WSH”) is and who tends to be the target.
  • Build understanding of individual rights and responsibilities, and that of colleagues.
  • Build capacity to make good decisions in specific situations.
  • Increase readiness to act.
  • Understand usual and vulnerable targets of workplace sexual harassment.
  • Understand other forms of harassment in the workplace.
  • Understand individual rights and responsibilities, one’s own and those of colleagues.
  • Understand informal and formal responses to workplace sexual harassment.
  • Access services and resources.

Facilitator

Nicole Smith

With over 10 years in the field, Nicole is committed to providing positive, compassionate conflict management services to her clients. Nicole specializes in workplace conflict management and has broad experience managing formal processes, conducting investigations, engaging in informal interventions and developing and leading training. Nicole has a MA in Dispute Resolution and is a Qualified Mediator with the ADR Institute of Canada.

We provide this training to workplaces on an on-demand basis for a fixed rate.

We require a minimum of 10 participants. To ensure an engaging and effective learning experience, individual sessions are also capped at a maximum of 25 participants.

Live training is conducted over ZOOM, based on demand.
We can also arrange in-person sessions by request.
